Choreographers Elisabeth Borgermans and Thomas Vantuycom join forces; together with nine young people they create a dance performance based on the masterpiece of the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky: Petrouchka.
However, the starting point is not the original staging from 1911 but an in-depth reading of the music. Stravinsky’s penchant for contrast, rhythm and speed is typical of modern man at the beginning of the twentieth century, when electricity and machines changed the urban landscape and energized life in every sense.
