Secondary Education

What could be nicer than going out with your entire class? Visit a Dutch or foreign theatre performance or view the interactive artworks at the adventurous Fort Ruigenhoek.

The Tweetakt education process often encompasses an introductory lesson of 1.5-2 hours at school and a visit to the festival during or after school hours. This means that you can visit a show at the festival both during the day and in the evening. In addition, you can also choose to go on a tour of the artworks at Fort Ruigenhoek.

Content

Our experienced theatre tutors give the lesson at school. The content of these lessons is aligned with the visited performance or with the artworks at Fort Ruigenhoek, depending on your choice. They are dynamic lessons, with performance exercises that stimulate the senses. This way students learn to view and experience things in an active way.

Interaction is a central component of the visit to the fort. During their visit, young people are encouraged to think about what they’re seeing and to reflect on it. The education process can be expanded with several theatre lessons in advance at school. It is also possible to plan a discussion with the makers.

Practical information

The theatre lessons at school and the theatre visits take place in the summer and in September during the festival. We are flexible in scheduling our theatre lessons. We turn the festival visit into an experience that includes a warm welcome and a drink afterwards. Supervisors are always given free entrance.
