Festival Tweetakt finds it important to provide access for all our visitors. On this page you can look per festival location which measures have been taken to make the location accessible for people with a physical, hearing or visual disability.
At all locations we would like to be informed before the start of the show if you are visiting the show in a wheelchair. You can let us know at 030-7116640. Audience assistants are present at all performances to guide you if necessary, and it is possible to indicate that extra support is needed on location. We are open to all suggestions to improve accessibility! Also if you have any suggestions for us or our theatre participants after your visit to our festival, please share it with us via info@tweetakt.nl. There is a LNP-programme for anyone who does not speak Dutch.
The site of Fort Ruigenhoek has wheelchair access, as do a number of bunkers and buildings on the site. Some buildings can only be reached by stairs and therefore are not accessible by wheelchair. Fort Ruigenhoek has a disabled toilet. The Trekkerschuur, where theatre performances take place, is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. There is no hearing loop system for the hearing impaired.
The Neude is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp available to help wheelchair users access the terrain.
Performances at Stadsschouwburg Utrecht are accessible by wheelchair and there is a disabled toilet. There is an infrared hearing system for the hearing impaired. You can pick up the accompanying hearing sets at the reception before the show starts.
Both theatres at Theater Kikker are wheelchair accessible and there is a disabled toilet. At the shows in the Grote Zaal there is a hearing loop system for the hearing impaired. You can pick up the receiver set at the bar of Theater Kikker before the start of a performance.
The performances at Het Huis Utrecht are wheelchair accessible and there is a disabled toilet. Unfortunately, there is no hearing loop system.
The Akademietheater in the HKU building is wheelchair accessible and there is a disabled toilet. Wheelchair access to the building is available via an additional entrance; not the main entrance. So it is extra important to let the Tweetakt organisation know in advance if you are visiting a show at this location in a wheelchair. Unfortunately, there is no hearing loop system at the Akademietheater.
ZIMIHC Theater Stefanus is a wheelchair accessible venue with a disabled toilet. Unfortunately, this theatre does not have a hearing loop system.
