In Kapot, three deviant figures dance a course full of words, rhythm and melody. Small missteps result in havoc. Movements result in spoken word, poetry and rap. Kapot is an ode to the art of failure. Errors and mistakes force you to find solutions creatively.
About the makers
In dUb, Karolien Verlinden and Wannes Deneer investigated how sounds stimulate the imagination and create expectations. Chitchat, linked movements to non-existent sounds and words. In Kapot, Karolien Verlinden goes one step further and creates a dance performance in which language is central.
Tuning People is the collective of makers Wannes Deneer, Jef Van gestel and Karolien Verlinden. For the past fifteen years they have made performances both together and separately.
