A vibrant circus sound theater where the audience is right in the middle.
Following the success of ‘Plock!’ and ‘murmur’, Grensgeval presents ‘KORROL’, the final part of the art and creativity trilogy. In this new circus performance, Jonas, an acrobatic architect, creates a world of towers and cities with concrete. But his work remains incomplete each time. With heavy concrete shoes and a massive ball as a dance partner, he brings his environment to life. The audience becomes part of his creation as they transform the world together with traveling and tangible sound.
More Information about the Creators:
Hanne Vandersteene and Mahlu Mertens form the artistic core of Grensgeval. They both studied at the Toneelacademie Maastricht. Within the circus, they found a language for their imagination. They work on a distinctive and recognizable body of work that brings circus together with other art forms and a dose of anarchy, poetry, and punk. On stage, they build a world where the audience sits right in the middle and at times even actively participates. Grensgeval has performed in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Ireland, England, Scotland, Austria, Denmark, and China.
