The sequel of the Tweetakt cult hit. The musical performance GRRRRROENTEN II by RAKET and Festival Tweetakt is another performance about vegetables! Vegetables on crook toad.

Where the show GRRRRROENTEN saw a colourful parade of vitamin-heavy vegetables run amok, GRRRRROENTEN II really promises to upset the veggie cart. Hard-nosed action that doesn’t shy away from extreme violence. The Terminator at the local greengrocer’s, featuring the love child of Jackie Chan and an aubergine.

Completely wordless, but with dope bass lines, thundering synths, pounding drums and truly crazy vegetables in a stage set made of wood, rope and pulleys. Suitable for anyone older than 3 years.

GRRRRROENTEN II is a clever concept and a well-played musical gem, in a setting that is reminiscent of a creative child’s construction project. With the added bonus that this construction actually works.” – Theaterkrant ★★★

RAKET is a composed company led by theater designer Eveline Didderen and musician / composer Jelte Heringa. Since 2015 they play with a changing group on Tweetakt and all sorts of other places with real vegetables in the lead. For the coming series of performances they are assisted by an illustrator, a video man, a lighting designer and three musicians, all of whom have more experience in pop music than in children’s theater, which provides a fresh and playful look at the genre.
