Sam Zwart creates audio-visual works in which he seeks to connect the music he creates with the space in which he performs. For his performance at Tweetakt, he will be joined by two other musicians and will explore the use of tape loops. These are short pieces of magnetic tape (taken from a reel-to-reel recorder or cassette tape) with their ends joined together to create a repeating sound, serving as a precursor to sampling. Together, they will experiment with these tape loops to create an immersive and unique musical experience.
